Sweet Summer Memories
When I think back on my childhood, summers always stand out. There were family road trips, beach trips, and long afternoons playing in the sprinklers with siblings and neighborhood friends. Summers are special when you’re a kid. And they’re worth remembering. So how do we document our children’s summer? Here are a few of my favorite ways as a professional family photographer in New Orleans to capture these whimsical days.
1. The beach – we are lucky to have beautiful beaches just a short distance away from New Orleans, including the cypress-lined beach of Fontainebleau State Park and the sandy shores of Bay St. Louis and Waveland. Or if you are heading to 30A, Seaside, Rosemary Beach or Alys Beach, reach out to talk about the possibly of capturing your vacation with a one-of-a-kind photo session.
2. Sprinklers and pools – Let’s set up the sprinkler in the front lawn for some fun jumping-in-the-water photos! The sillier the blow-up toy the better.
3. Snoballs – Growing up in New Orleans, your child is a connoisseur of shaved ice. We all have our favorite stand and flavor, and the messy faces are adorable.
4. Fourth of July – Red, white & blue outfits and sparklers, need I say more.
5. Lazy afternoons in your backyard – Rolling around on the grass, sleeping together in a hammock, and reading books in your favorite tent all make for meaningful memories of your family.
Summer is filled with so many sweet moments. Contact me to talk about how to capture your summer memories!
