The girl with the infectious laugh and smile that made the entire session feel like hanging out with an old friend. That’s Sydney.
I’ve been photographing her since she was little including at her bat mitzvah which feels like it was a day ago — and somehow she’s standing here as a Metairie Park Country Day senior, headed to American University to study international relations. She’s funny, deeply thoughtful, and so genuinely personable that I’m pretty sure she’s going to change lives in that field.

Sadie came to her senior session with her mom, her big sister, and a pair of swimming goggles (If you know, you know).
I first photographed this girl when she was a toddler. Now she`s a Ben Franklin grad heading to Tulane — a New Orleans kid who gets to stay in the city she was raised in. That feels right.
The glam squad was there. The goggles were there. And somehow, so was I, lucky enough to be the one holding the camera through all of it.
