As a New Orleans family photographer, I create relaxed, lifestyle family photos that look like your family on a good day, not a stiff portrait. We meet at a favorite New Orleans spot, like Bayou St. John, City Park, or the quiet side of the French Quarter, and I guide you through easy, natural moments while the kids get to be kids. Full sessions are about 45 minutes, and your online gallery arrives within two weeks.

There’s no better time to snapshot your family portraits than right now. We’ll set up a time to talk about packages and rates, location ideas, plus address any questions or concerns you might have. Worried your kids won’t sit still? No problem. Unsure about what to wear? I’ve got you covered. I’ll guide you through the process and handle all the details, so all you have to do is show up with your family and enjoy the experience.

Let’s Do This
If you’re ready, we’ll seal the deal with an electronic booking agreement to get the ball rolling. Congratulations, we’re on the way to beautiful family portraits! This contract, and a Booking Fee that is due when we schedule your session, will reserve your spot on my calendar so we don’t lose out on the best day for your photo session.

It’s Family Photo Day
Family picture day is here and I cannot be more excited! I’ll meet you at the location we agreed on. I know this day can be stressful and you’re worried your kids won’t sit still or be in the mood for photos. But I’ve learned a thing or two in my 20 + years of working with families. I’ve seen it all, and I’ll be right there with you to make this a fun and relaxed day for everyone.

Photos Are Forever
I’ll have your family portrait gallery live and ready to view no later than 2 weeks after our photo session. At this time you can order prints, photo albums, wall art, and other keepsakes to display your photos and revisit those moments again and again. I’d be happy to suggest keepsakes or wall art for you, but keep in mind they’re sold separately from the photo session booking fee.

New Orleans Family Photography FAQ
How long is a family photo session?
Full sessions are 45 minutes, which gives everyone time to warm up and leaves room to explore a neighborhood for variety. Mini sessions are 30 minutes, and extended family sessions with grandparents and cousins run about an hour.
Where should we take family photos in New Orleans?
Some of my favorites are Bayou St. John, City Park, Audubon Park, the Lower Garden District, and the quiet residential side of the French Quarter. I'll help you choose a spot that fits your family's style and your kids' energy. Check out the Best Photo Locations in New Orleans
What if my kids won't cooperate?
That's completely normal, and it's where the best photos come from. I keep things playful with simple games and movement, so kids forget about the camera. You don't need everyone smiling at once for photos you'll love.
What should we wear for family photos?
Coordinate instead of matching. Pick two or three colors that work together, let everyone wear their own version, and skip big logos. I'll share outfit ideas before your session.
When is the best time of day for family photos?
Early morning and late afternoon give you the softest light and the most comfortable temperatures. Midday sun in New Orleans is harsh on faces and hard on little ones' moods.
What happens if it rains?
If rain rolls in, I'll reschedule your session for another day, so you're never stuck with soggy shoes and frizzy hair.
When will we get our photos?
Your online gallery arrives within two weeks of your session. From there, you choose your favorites and order digital images, prints, albums, or wall art.
