Kids change so much in the first years of their lives and when you get to the tween and teen years it’s hard to believe they were ever that small. Little kids, especially toddlers, are in engaged in photos for a shorter time than their older siblings. With a mini session, usually about 25-minutes long, we keep things moving and exciting just long enough for some magical photos. By the time they lose interest, we have applauded our hard work and said our goodbyes. Perfect for your toddler and for mom and dad.
New Orleans is Magical in the Spring
If you are driving around in March and April in New Orleans, chances are you will notice all the Azalea bushes and Japanese Magnolia trees showing off. Our perfect Spring weather of dryer days and mild temperatures make it delightful to be outside in the many urban parks and neighborhoods and these wide open spaces are perfect for letting your little kids run around for photos.
Mini Sessions mean Less Stress for Parents
Getting kids ready for a photoshoot can be a challenge, especially with little ones. By the time you get everyone dressed and out the door moms can often feel overwhelmed. A good photographer is ready to take over the reins, engage your kids and bring out their personality. With toddlers and young kids that means we work fast. Since these photo sessions are shorter, there’s less pressure on you and your kids. It’s pretty amazing what we can accomplish in 25 minutes during a New Orleans mini session.
Your Photo Permit Fee is Paid by Your Photographer
Some of the best New Orleans locations for Spring mini photos come with a permit fee which is already taken care of by me when I schedule Spring mini session dates. Take Longue Vue House + Gardens for example, one of the most gorgeous location in New Orleans with its sweeping gardens and lush pathways. Unfortunately, it’s also a popular place and getting a photo permit ($150 for an hour) is scheduled months in advance.
