The inaugural year of Twirl Photography has been amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to meet and photograph wonderful couples starting out on a new life together, new babies, new mothers and first-time fathers, growing families and members of many generations coming together. I’ve always been a big fan of looking back at my photography for the year and pulling together a few of my favorites. It was difficult to narrow down the many wonderful moments I was able to witness, the sibling kisses, newborn sighs, and heartfelt embraces. These are just a few of the moments that stand out to me.
One of my most cherished compliments this year was after my first session with Tara, a mother of five who had been getting annual photographs of her growing family for years. After our session she told me that until she saw the pictures I took, she had no idea that the previous photos of her family were bad. I was the first photographer who was able to capture the light and happiness of her family. My hope is to give each client just that, one beautiful photograph that captures the love and joy of life. Thank you Tara, and thank you to all of the families who let me into their lives this year! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Jennifer, I check you blog every so often to try to look at life the way you do through you lens — very personal & unique. I’m touched that you’ve enjoyed taking pics of my family. We obviously love your photos of us & we have a 3×5 foot enlargement of it above our mantle just to prove it. Looking forward to the next milestone for you to capture on film.
