It is year 11 of the July Project. This is the month where I photograph my kids every day, hopefully creating that one photo that speaks to who they are at this moment in time. They are now 15 and 9. However, instead of speaking about how grown-up they seem (and they do), I’m going to focus on how young they both still are. They are still just kids navigating a big world.
Summer is a great time to be still, to watch and sit in the now. For the next 31 days I will be documenting Magnolia and Beckett’s laughter, imagination, boundless energy, cleverness and their luminous sense of wonder. We will be connecting into the fullness of this moment and not worrying about all the big life changes that are creeping around the corner. We all only get so many summers to be a child.
Thank you for coming along on this month-long journey! I’ve also made a note to myself, if the dogs are in a photo there might be a little bit of chaos.
