Nine years. They flew by, each summer a blur of memories and thankfully a collection of pictures for each day in July. Every July is a gift to spend with my kids, a reason to slow down and take in who they are quickly becoming. They are now 13 and 7 and the most amazing creatures I’ve ever set eyes upon. They still allow me to follow them with a camera, so I will gladly continue a project I started nine years ago. It’s like a glorious walk through our present and a gift to my children’s future. And there is no better place to start than a walk along the bayou we call home. {Photo-a-day is a personal project to photograph my children every day during the month of July.}
