Latrobe’s on Royal New Orleans Wedding | Chris and Stacey, Married!

The warm golden hues and weathered walls of Latrobe’s on Royal Street added that perfect touch of glamour to the fabulous New Orleans wedding of Chris and Stacey. Undeterred by an afternoon thunderstorm, Stacey and Chris grabbed their umbrellas and strolled the French Quarter for a series of delightful portraits. They twirled and dipped under the narrow awning of a classic Creole cottage as the rain fell, creating an unforgettably romantic moment. Stacey walked down the aisle escorted by her twin 6-year-olds, Joshua and Ryan, in an old carriage house of exposed brick, tall arches and flickering gas lamps. Chris and Stacey marched out as a married couple, holding the hands of their combined sets of children, including Chris’ daughters Taylor, 7, and Hadley, 5, and Stacey’s twins. The Creole String Beans played, and the guests, many of whom were under age 10, danced and spun. The menu of chicken fingers, fruit salad and French fries, alongside classic New Orleans fare, was a hit, as was a table stocked with rapidly disappearing cupcakes. As the evening came to a close, the newly minted family of six laughed under a canopy of sparklers as they began their renewed life together. I wish them all much happiness!
