The CureSearch Walk, conquering children’s cancer

I was honored to be part of the inaugural New Orleans CureSearch Walk in Audubon Park this weekend where several hundred family and friends of children battling cancer gathered to raise money for cancer research. The walk is held to celebrate and honor children from the across the state of Louisiana who have been affected by children’s cancer. Every child in the photograph below is a cancer survivor. Their strength and determination is awe inspiring. For more information, please visit: http://www.curesearch.org

I was so excited to be a volunteer with such a wonderful group of giving individuals at the CureSearch Walk. The level of commitment was amazing. It touched my heart to see so many people who came out for such a worthy cause and to just feel the determination and will to live of the survivors. I will remember it always. May God bless all who participated and the children and their families who have been touched by this devastating illness.
