Catherine and John staged a gorgeous wedding celebration at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lakeview and The Omni Orleans Hotel in the French Quarter on the last day of July. It was a pleasure to photograph a duo so full of joie de vivre that it buoyed everyone around them. The summer rain storm that started when Catherine left the hotel was over by the time she reached St. Paul’s. Their celebration than moved to back to the Omni Orleans where they rejoiced under glittering chandeliers and watchful paintings of Napoleon and Josephine. Guests moved among stunning bouquets and savored an event infused with endearing personal touches: a doughnut tower, lively Greek dancing, ouzo shots, and certainly not least, a late-night pizza, one of the bride’s favorite treats.
