A one-block radius in the Lower Garden District proves that New Orleans is the perfect backdrop for every couple in love. The weathered walls, colorful awnings and hidden gates were a great asset to my recent engagement session with Colleen and Mike. Although we were surrounded by such grandeur, not too mention an adorable puppy and gorgeous red shoes, it was really Mike who stole the show. His ability to make Colleen laugh with a simple glance or strut made great pictures. The couple, from Nashville, are having a destination wedding in October at some of the most beautiful Garden District venues, Christ Cathedral Church and The Elms Mansion. With the cling-clang of the passing streetcar and a canopy of oak trees, their wedding is going to be a day to remember.
