Yay! the kids are back in school!  I hope you had a great summer with them and made some fabulous family memories. As we head into the fall and holiday seasons, I wanted to share a few tips that will help you to get gorgeous family photos from your next session.

Book early. There are only so many weekends before the end of the year, and they book up fast. If you know approximately when you want to take family pictures call or email me.  I want to make sure you get a premium spot!

Book your family session before daylight savings. Daylight savings is November 5^th and as of November 5^th it is dark at 5pm. Take advantage of those longer days to schedule a session at sunset, the golden hour of light, without it conflicting with dinner time.

Location is so important. After photographing in New Orleans for the past 20 years, I know all of the little forgotten spots that make for breathtaking backdrops. I will be happy to lead you to the best one for your family. Once you get on my books, a pre-consultation over the phone can help us decipher where would be the best spot for you.

Think beyond the holiday card. You are investing time and money to make gorgeous heirlooms for your family. Enjoy them year-round with a prominent place in your home. Twirl Photography is all about tangible, touchable and remarkable pictures in your hands and life!

Don’t sweat the little stuff. I’m here to make sure your children are comfortable and have fun! Sessions are high energy and quick, my boss are your kids and I listen to their cues. You just need to show up and enjoy the show.
