I often wonder if the families I photograph know how much tenderness they radiate. With every glance, laugh, and wordless reach of a hand they are telling a story of love. These are pictures of new beginnings, growing families, and celebrating elders. They are the images I adore from a year filled with the privilege of seeing the grace, chaos and thunder of a loving family. I have witnessed families welcoming their 1st, 3rd and even 6th child into their embrace, while others have had great loss this year. Through it all there is a constant reminder that when it come to family you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be.
